Christmas is magical time in Poland. Christianity influenced both polish way of thinking, as well as our behaviour in all its aspects. Differently than in other European countries, in Poland it’s still common to spend Christmas in a family circle. Even young people can’t break that and have to attend what in most cases is sitting by the table eating all day and mostly watching tv.

If you come to Poland in December you should expect that Christmas weather in Krakow would mean cold and windy. Also very bright and icy on the roads. The temperature is normally around 0 degrees Centigrade and snow it’s what most Poles commonly associate with Christmas. So - don’t forget to bring warm clothes, a hat and a pair of gloves. There are years when it’s hotter but even in that case it’s probably better to be prepared - especially if you have a plan to visit Tatra Mountains and Zakopane - two most beautiful places to visit on your polish adventure.
