The Krakow airport is situated conveniently on the Balice outskirts of the city. It’s just 15 km away from the city center. The airport itself is a small one - nothing comparing to Amsterdam’s airport or Berlin, but nice and tidy, not too crowded, even though it’s the second busiest international airport Poland after Warsaw.

Krakow’s John Paul II International Airport has regular direct air connections from and to major European and American cities - Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, New York, Paris, Rome, and Vienna, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, as well as Athens, Barcelona, Belfast, Birmingham, Bologna, Budapest, Cologne, Cork, Dortmund, Dublin, Glasgow, Helsinki, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Prague, Stuttgart, and Tel Aviv. There are also domestic lines to Poland’s capital city Warsaw and Gdansk, Wroclaw if you have some spare money and can affort that.
