Alchemia

Alchemia – one of the oldest and best known places in Kazimierz, former jewish quarter. Is a popular pub where you can meet lots local people as well as tourists.

The pub part is great and offers wide range of polish beers and vodkas. Prices are just about right. Big advantage is location – right in the heart of Kazimierz – Plac Nowy, known for being a center for night Krakow activities with many pubs and clubs of all sort.

Alchemia is so much more than a pub though, it’s an institution of culture – home for a small independent cinema, concerts and festival organizer.

Concerts are always great in Alhemia. The concert hall is definitely not the biggest one but offers friendly and cozy atmosphere. High standard jazz concerts are a trademark of this place. Also in October you can go for Cracow Jazz Fall.

For bigger concerts Alchemia people choose a roof of circle shaped market facilities. Those concerts are great and thanks to best sound equipment it’s a great treat to be there. So – strongly recommended.
