Pod Jaszczurami ‘Under the Lizards’ located on the Market Square is one of the oldest and most famous student clubs in Krakow. It was opened in 1969 and from that moment witnessed everything connected to student culture in Krakow. It stands out from other popular places for it’s rich cultural programme. In the day time it’s a nice place to go for a beer with friends. During evenings Club presents concerts, discotheques as well as lectures, film, screenings and even political discussions. Everyone is welcome tough there are many parties open only for students from Krakow. Last couple of years it’s quality went down a bit – there are people who wouldn’t go there. But it’s still a piece of history of Krakow’s student hood.
