Stary Port (The Old Harbour) is a pub in central Krakow, right next to Planty, on the way from The Market Square to Kopiec Kosciuszki. It’s located in a basement of an old Krakowian buildings from XIX century. That determines it’s atmosphere, making it dark and stuffy. Most of the light comes from candles. Also, pub owners are big fans of open see sailing and they made Old Harbour look and work as if it was an old tavern located near the see side. So – you get cocktails which have marine names, you seat on a wooden deck and the walls are full of see related artifacts. If you’re a sailor you can order drinks for reduced prices. Also – for those who have successfully swam over the Cap of Good Hope – beer is for free. So – if you’re one of them you already won.

We strongly recommend that place – there are always plenty of young people. All of them seem to have fun and dark, gloomy atmosphere only helps with it. It’s a good place to come with friends during the weekends when the pub is full of people, or with a date on the week days.
