Chlopskie Jadlo - Peasant kitchen - is one of the most well-known culinary destinations in Krakow. Well known amongst local people, sort of fashionable for the members of newly created middle class working specialists, and more and more popular amongst tourists. Styled to resemble peasant cuisine, does it really well. The food is simple and delicious. Some of the basic things - such as really tasty sausages, are beign prepared specially for the chain of Chlopskie Jadlo. They are done according to old polish recepies and not available anywhere else. You can have a taste of traditional polish cuisine - dishes such as ’schabowy z kapusta i ziemniakami’ - fried cutlet with baked cabbage and potatoes, golabki - meet and buckwheat wrapped with cabbage leaf, and plenty of others. Make sure you try rosol - chicken soup. If you are vegetarian pancakes would do you great. All of that served in really huge portions, but children menu is also available.

Most of all, the insides are styled to resemble polish cottage houses from XIXth century. The ambiance is really superbly done. the one pointed on our interactive map of Krakow is the outlet located right in the middle of the town, on Jana Street, right next to Main Marker Square.

We strongly recommend. A must see place - I bet you’ve never eaten so well.
