A place called La Strada Restaurant has opened just couple of years ago but managed to surprise us with delicious italian dishes since.
Amongst plenty of traditional, and more experimental Italian dishes there are couple of pearls. All the starters looked good – but there was one called La Strada prepared with smoked chicken fresh tomatoes, lettuce, broad bean, soy sprouts and cheese which made the biggest impression.
Main dishes are not just pastas and pizzas – there is huge selection of meat dishes such as pork loin covered with our heavenly chanterelle sauce and 4 really good fish dishes. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish with a dessert – there are just three of them – all very standard, but coffee we had instead was great.
Surprisingly for an Italian restaurant they don’t have nice selection of wine – big minus. But, for the amateurs of strong liquors there is plenty to choose from.

I’ve been there – friends from Krakow took me there, and the food was just brilliant, I had a simple pasta with bacon (can’t remember the name) and it was fresh and tasty. I totally recommend that place – one of the best italian restaurants I’ve been to. paul

Went to La Strada on this site’s recommendation. Big mistake. We wanted to eat in the restaurant but were asked to sit in the garden. Main courses were heavy and unpalatable. My dinner companion asked for cream or sauce as her carbonara was very dry ; she was told simply “No”. We returned most of our entrees uneaten. No one asked was there a problem or offered us a dessert or coffee. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone.

I’m rather surprissed with this last comment – I went there three times and that was fantastic. I have to say it was over a year ago. Could it changed the ownership?
