Planty Garden Ring
Planty – always a nice spot to meet with people, sit and read a newspaper, or simply enjoy a wooden area in the very centre of the city. Planty, is simply a green belt of public parks left after Krakow’s medieval city walls were demolished after 1807. They go all around the Old Town historical district. You can easily find good outdoors cafeterias or pubs, some galleries and museums.
Especially during the summer time the place is full of tourists and pulsing with life. Personally, I always try to go through the Planty going anywhere within the city center – it’s simply more enjoyable.

it was so relaxing to just sit in the garden and read a book or a newspaper – of course most of the magic is gone – it’s september now and it’s getting more and more rainy. although I heard that poles use the phrase ‘golden polish autumn’ to say that polish one is really nice and warm and sometimes you get a good season for all the leaves to turn golden, rusty and dark red – really looking forward to that – hope it’s going to be a good weather in Krakow

too bad it’s too cold right now (november 2008) – otherwise I’d enjoy planty more. but Krakow itself was nice to visit even now
